Preview Of Your Future Home

Home buyers tell me that they start the process by making a shortlist of one hundred houses. Then, based on some specific deal breakers, they narrow that list to about ten on twenty houses. And only then do they start viewing houses with the real estate agent. When you find the one you will eventually purchase, that agent’s showing then becomes a preview of your future home.

You see your future home, the same way the scripture shows us heaven. I say heaven because that is our future home. But we must bear in mind that not all who say “Lord, Lord” can have that same future home. Here also, the scripture is not silent, describing the horrors of hell in full.

But we focus on the preview of your future home for one good reason. When you see how beautiful it is, you will not mind the price you pay. If we have time at the end, we shall also preview the future home of those who refuse God’s entreaties. For us, it will only serve as a sharp contrast to the beauty of our home.

You may recall that we earlier said that very few people have that same future home. In the same way, unlike most homes on earth, this house is significant for what is not in it. For instance, a preview of your future home starts with “no more.” A whole lot of the things we experienced and possessed on earth are not in that home.

The Home Of No Mores

Take pain as an example. Thank God that while we are on earth, He gave us pain. Yes, you heard me right. Without pain, any ailment becomes a killer, like for instance, hypertension. God gave us pain as a red flag to warn us that something in our body requires attention.

But in Heaven, where there will be no sickness at all, we have no need for pain. And so, God says that in our future home, there is no more pain. Gone forever, praise God. So, as you go through a preview of your future home, pay attention to the things that are missing.

They are as important as the things that are present. We already said that the reason we have no need for pain in our future home is the absence of sickness. Imagine never having to be ill one day, not even with the smallest ache. No more cancer; no more hypertension or diabetes; not even infections. That is a home for which we should be willing to pay any price.

In this coronavirus lockdown, people have complained that they might die of hunger before the virus gets them. But check this out. A preview of your future home will reveal that such a scenario is impossible. And not only because there is no virus there but because there is no hunger in Heaven. We shall be dwelling in the Presence of the Bread of Life.

Have you had to weep in the recent past? Maybe you lost a loved one or a loved goal and tears came unbidden to your eyes. A preview of your future home will show you God Himself, wiping away those tears.

A Preview Of Your Future Home Is Glorious

One could almost wish to cry just for the pleasure of having God’s hands performing such a beautiful act. But there will be no more tears. Because there will be no more sorrow. And of course, death cannot abide where the Life Himself lives.

As for those fancy lightings, they will not be there either. Does that mean the house will be in darkness? Not at all, because God is the light of that place. As for these church buildings that dot the landscape on earth?

No such buildings will be in your future home. And that is because our God and Father is the temple there. But the glory does not end there. All the glory of the kings and presidents that we see on earth now shall end up there.

They will bring their glory and honor into the dwelling of the King of kings and Lord of lords. You would think that with so much glory, there would be a need for tight security. No, the gates shall never be shut by day. And since there no night there, that means the gates are always open.

Unlike here on earth, you can come and go as you like. A preview of your future home allows you to see a great part of God’s glory. It should serve as an incentive to desire to get into this home. There you will truly see Him as He is, glorious beyond description.

In that future home, God will serve as your shield to safeguard you. He will keep out all abominations and anything capable of defiling your home. God also keeps out the cowardly, the unbelieving, or the abominable in your future home.

You Can Purchase This House Now

In your future home, God keeps out all murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars. It is both glorious and safe. And we have not spoken of the precious stones with which He built the foundations and the walls. Imagine walking on streets of gold, so pure it looks like glass.

Evidently, you like what you see and want to get your hands on it. Unfortunately, it is extremely costly, costlier than diamonds. On the other hand, God made it easy for you to get into this house.

He sent Jesus His son to pay the price for it. all you need to do to get into this house it to follow Jesus. Every step He takes, take that same step. It will be like Enoch who walked with God and simply ended up in this home.
