God Does Laugh
You may not know it, but God laughs at all the nations. And, for right now, God is laughing at all the nations gathered in Poland, as foretold in Psalm 59:8 You already know of Jesus laughing and weeping. We know of ourselves laughing and weeping. Does it not stand to reason that God, in whose image we were made, should also have laugh and weep?
But keep in mind, when God laughs at all the nations, He is not laughing at individuals in all nations. Remember, He loved the world so much that He sent His Son to die for us. But when two hundred nations gather together to discuss climate change,that is when God laughs at all the nations.
Naturally, when the bible says God laughs at all the nations, it is not referring to every last nation. As you can imagine, there are obviously more than two hundred nations in the world. It is speaking of the nations that think too highly of themselves, a sin before God.
The bible is speaking of those nations who, because of military or financial clout, lord it over other nations. They begin to believe they can make rules for other nations. The term refers to nations who try to meddle with God’s earth. Sitting in Heaven, God laughs at all the nations. The bible says that He holds them in derision.
God Laughs at All The Nations
This time God is laughing at all the nations concerning climate change. Before now, it was a meddling with ecological balance as we put some creatures on an endangered list. It was not until later that we discovered the adverse effect of protecting that particular animal. God must have laughed at all the nations then as well.
The recent meeting in United Nations Conference on global warming in Katowice, Poland was the 24th time they are meeting. And all that they have accomplished is zilch. Why? Because God laughs at the nations for attempting to meddle with His end game. First, the meeting took place in the heartland of coal. You may know that coal is the worst offender in global warming.
Yet the meeting to control warming is taking place there. That is enough to start the ripples of laughter in your belly, enough to cause God to laugh at all the nations. Secondly, their findings are enough to make you sad unless you have God’s perspective on the subject.
God Laughed Before
And with that perspective, you too can join in as God laughs at all the nations. But you may be wondering, why would failure at controlling global warming cause God to laugh at all the nations? Good question. Remember; He, not the nations, created this world. He knew at what point in history to trigger the flood that destroyed the earth. At that time, He saved Noah and seven other souls.
God laughed then. At the end of that destruction, God promised to never again destroy the earth with water. Whenever it is time to destroy the earth, He will do it with heat. At that time too, He will rescue souls. He will extract us from the fire and fly us to Heaven. That event is known as the rapture. The destruction with heat is referred to as the day of the Lord.
God Promises Heat For All Nations
It will come when we least expect it, with a great noise and all elements will melt with fervent heat. Even the earth with the works that are in it will be burned up. The destruction promises to be worse and more rapid than what happened at Lake Highlands.
Like with the watery deluge, God alone knows how warm the earth has to become before He triggers its final destruction. That is why, as believers, we must keep an eye out for the findings of the 25th annual conference of the parties aka the COP. Because there is no doubt that the results will be greater frustration for those who want the earth the to cool down. Of course, we may not even be here if the rapture has already taken us home.
You Too Can laugh At The Nations
You see, the earth is warming up according to God’s eternal plan. And because we don’t have information about the exact level of heat that will trigger the end, our only responsibility is to ensure that we are on the right side. That right side is Jesus, who came from God and therefore knows the way to him. He alone can take us home before the heat becomes fervent. That is when God will trigger the promised heat destruction.
Now, we return to their findings. Not only is the world not cutting back on greenhouse gases, but the rate of warming is also the highest it has ever been. And, given the confusion, it is not likely to achieve anything, any time soon. Do you remember how God confused the language of the world at the tower of Babel?
God and The Believer’s Responsibility
Well, the meeting was exactly like that. Poorer nations opined that they made no contribution to the warming up of the earth. They said therefore that they should not have to contribute to the slowing down of its warming. Logical. The richer nations, aka all the nations that God laughs at, insist that the entire world is in the same boat.
Logical also. The meeting ended without finding a compromise between these two very logical conclusions. There were several other sticking points. Which brings us to another logical end; the question. Is there a higher power warming up the world in spite of all our efforts or lack thereof?
For believers, the question is clear. Is God warning up His – not ours, mind you – world ready for that final destruction with heat? Those who don’t know God will think of this as hogwash and resort to laughter. But don’t let that bother you.
You recall that In Noah’s time, the atheists laughed at him. Let them laugh. He who laughs last laughs best. And we shall be laughing from heaven when the final heat comes. We have only one responsibility – constantly abide in Christ.
Crazy Conclusion From All The Nations
The reason for my laughter was the outcome of the conference in Poland. They recommend that you and I should stop eating beef. Consider, each delegate flew in a carbon dioxide-emitting plane to the meeting, heating up the air immensely.
Each delegate had a change of bedclothes every night, drank from plastic disposable bottles at every meeting. These acts are all ardent contributors to global warming. They lavishly wiped their hands and mouths with paper towels. The manufacture of these disposable items produces greenhouse gases, tremendously warming up the globe.
And they want you and I to give up eating meat? If it was not so crazy, that conclusion would cause you to laugh at all the nations gathered there. Why did they not hold their meetings from home using an app like Go-To-Meeting?
No, they had to get on a plane and travel to Poland. The travel was only so they could collect their daily subsistence allowances. At least the United Nations had the good sense to fire its environmental chief for needlessly jetting around the world. He was personally stoking the global warming stove like no one else.
Give up my meat? In their dreams. God is laughing at their shenanigans. He laughs at all the nations for their ludicrous conclusions.
