Undoubtedly, many of us stopped reading these articles because they are not ‘sweet’ to our taste. We like teachers who pat our heads and bid us go out to play. We want a God who is like a doting grandfather. And yet, concerning God’s promises, the Bible says, “let God be true and every man a liar. That implies that, until we align with God, we may miss out on His promises.
It is like the child who drops out of school because the lessons are too tough. He goes out to play while others are struggling with their arithmetic. He does not realize the joke is on him. When the others play later in life, he enters his struggling stage. It will be too late. Many believers are like that. We do not enjoy hard teaching like this one. By the time those who stay the course start to enjoy the promises of God, the dropouts start their struggles. They move from one deliverance ministry to the next and from one night vigil to another.
Please keep in mind that I am teaching myself as I write. That is because the health problem I mentioned at the start remains. And yet, I know that the stripes of Jesus healed me already. Since the bible says God is true and every man a liar, the fault must be in me, not in God. As I write, I extract these lessons and apply them to my life. I believe that one day soon, the health problem will be a thing of the past. Hopefully, you are also taking these lessons and applying them to your situation. We shall soon give testimonies.
Every Man A Liar Against Their Landlord
We need to remind ourselves why we are on this blog. We are doing our best to make it to heaven at the rapture. God says not all will make it. We believe Him that some, perhaps most people, will be left behind. Let God be true and every man a liar. He even makes it easy for us by sending His son to take the rap for you and me. All we have to do is place our trust in Jesus to take us home. Remember, He came from there, and is the way, both here and now, and the way back home.
Secondly, our lives must show that we belong to Jesus. Or, as the Bible says it, we should live our lives with fruits worthy of repentance. In other words, if they are looking for Christians to jail, will there be enough evidence to take me to prison? If the answer is yes, then, one day soon, God will be my landlord. I will go home to be with the Lord forever.
If His promises are not yet manifesting in my life, did He tell me a lie? Am I going to accuse my landlord of lying? Never, because when I get to heaven, He will be my landlord forever. I hope you will also make it to Heaven, and then God will be your landlord forever. Let our landlord be true and every man a liar.

God Said It, I Believe It.
What God promised, He is well able to perform, and does perform it. But we do not receive the promises in our individual lives because of a fault in us. Now, I know that the last statement is uncomfortable for most of us. We would rather be like the Muslims who claim that God is in total control of everything that happens to us. God is above all, but He gave us the dominion over the earth, so we can use that delegated power to change our lives and situations.
Too often, we want God to bend or lower his standards. Sorry, this Lord and Master – this landlord – does not do that. He is a just and holy God, with no shadow of turning. Let God be true and faithful, and every man a liar. Is this conclusion easy for me to make? Not at all, because it means my faith is lacking something vital.
But I would rather accept that I am a liar while God is true than remain ill. The fault must be in me (in us), and we have to keep digging in the word until we find the answer. Like this morning, I woke up with pain in my eye. I was tempted to call the doctor, but the Holy Spirit reminded me that God is the Great Physician, the original doctor.
Praying With Pain
Imagine! Your eye is aching so much that you cannot open it, and God is asking you to pray. Well, I did, and I can report that God is always true and every man a liar. The pain is gone, and I did not have to apply any medication. Will the pain return tomorrow? I do not know, but even if it does, that will just be the chief liar trying to deceive me.
It is important to know that the devil, as the chief liar, wants to deceive us into not believing in God. God heals us, and the devil brings the symptoms back. But the word of God is steeled. It says I have already been healed by the stipes of Jesus. I either believe or I am not a believer at all. I choose to believe even when the symptoms recur. Because the Bible says let God be true and every man a liar. It is so, or you might not even be a believer.
