Our last post was of a man of God who suffered from depression and begged God to kill him. Today, we want to swing fully to the other side of the pendulum. There we meet the madman of Gadara. Very few of us would ever get so bad but we may have family members who…

Elijah’s Depression
Last week, we started our series, divine health, ending by saying the series should start with mental issues. We mentioned Elijah and depression as well as the madman of Gadara and wondered if there was a difference between those two. Today, we want to commence with the prophet Elijah and you can guess why. Divine Health
It is possible to live free of diseases. Particularly if you are a Christian. You see, God promised that of all these diseases, none shall be upon us. How can God make such a stupendous promise, especially when all sorts of illnesses are so prevalent? It is because He is the Lord who heals us….
Weak Christians
Speaking about Jesus Paul wrote this: “who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God. But made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death. Even the death of the cross.
Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth. And of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. To the glory of God the Father.” This year and forever more, God will exalt us. But we must be like Jesus and become weak Christians.
Looking at Jesus, you are now able to appreciate the importance of making plans to become weak Christians. Indeed, it is necessary, especially if you used to consider being a strong Christian to be an advantage. It is not or else Jesus would not have become weak by dying on the cross. Just as He divested Himself of His glory, so we too must let go of any perceived strength. Perhaps you are a prayer warrior or you can sing like an angel or preach like Paul.
On The Inside
If on the inside of you, there is only you, you are in a sorry state. Empty your slef of you and let God fill you up for exploits and victory. Otherwise, God will resists you but He gives grace to the humble.
Through Christ
You cannot come to God unless you come through Christ. It is only then, when you are a child of God that God’s promises can be fulfilled in your life. Additionally, when you are with Jesus in God, any enemy that wants to touch you, must first pass through Jesus.
