As we see the signs of the world’s end, God’s book of remembrance should occupy our thoughts. You may wonder what makes this particular book so special when there are several other important books. There is the Guinness book of records, for instance, not to mention College graduation books.
Those are just two examples of books in which a man’s name may appear but which amounts to nothing. They profit you nothing at the very end. Because what will matter at that time is God’s book of remembrance. Your name on the cover of Time magazine or Vogue amounts to zero at the last, when the end comes.
Don’t get me wrong; if the Time magazine comes calling, wanting to feature me on its cover, I will accept. But it will not carry as much weight as having my name in God’s book of remembrance. That is the book of all books when it comes to eternal matters; when all is said and done. No other book matters, regardless of how highly esteemed celebrities spin it.
Even your church or cathedral register will not count for anything at the end when it matters most. No doubt, you totally get that the only book worth your consideration is the one we are discussing here. And by now, you want to know what makes God’s book of remembrance so special.”
What Makes God’s Book Of Remembrance So Special?
There are two major reasons God’s book of remembrance is like no other book. First, even here on earth, it is important to have your name in a King’s book of remembrance. You may recall how such a book saved Mordecai’s life and helped to elevate him. As a refresher, we note that the nationals of that country planned to annihilate Mordecai and his people, all immigrants.
It turned out the king developed insomnia and decided to put the time to good use. He asked for his book of remembrance and read from it all night. At dawn, just when the evil plot was maturing, the king came out of his bed-chambers with Mordecai on his mind. He asked the evil plotter, who happened to be in the outer court at that precise time for a reward package.
Hamath assumed the king referred to him and designed a wonderful package. Imagine his shock when the king tasked him with bestowing that package on Mordecai. That is how important it is to have your name on the book of an ordinary king’s remembrance. Picture how much more glorious it could be if that was God’s book of remembrance, of the King of kings.
This Book Is All About God’s Realm
And that brings us to the second reason this particular book is unique. It works to reward you here on earth, like Mordecai, and also in eternity. Just as that earthly king referred to his own book of remembrance, so will God refer to His book. And when your name appears in God’s book of remembrance, you receive a reward.
Of course, that will only happen to those who arrive in Heaven, God’s realm. Surely, you know how to get there; if not, please take time to read over our past posts. Our entire purpose on this site is to help as many of us as possible get to heaven at the Rapture. Not that we are the way.
Jesus is the Way, the truth, and the life, and no one can come to God without Jesus. There is simply no other way and by shining the light on Jesus, we make heaven easier for you. But unless your name is in God’s book of remembrance, you may not even make Heaven.
If that is the case, whenever you depart from earth, you may not like where you show up. The bible calls it hell, where the burning fire never goes out; it burns forever. So, please pay close attention as we move on to the next section. You will hear how you can get your name into God’s book of remembrance.
How To Get Your Name On God’s Book Of Remembrance
In the third chapter of the book of Malachi, we glean the strategy for getting your name on God’s book. The first prerequisite is to fear God. Naturally, if you fear God, you will not talk bad about Him or rob Him, as others did in earlier verses.
Stemming from that fear, your main conversation will be about how good God is. While referencing this concept, Paul says we should speak to one another in scripture, hymns, and psalms. So, ask yourself, what percentage of your daily conversation is based on scripture, where you glorify God?
If it is low, you may not get your name on God’s book of remembrance. Because those are the ones that God listens to and hears. The last verse of the third chapter of Malachi says: “And the Lord listened and heard them.” Do you pray and feel that God is not listening to you or hearing you?
Then study the last verse of the third chapter of Malachi. You may discover the reason. It is after you fear Him enough to make your conversation all about Him, rather than social media that He listens to you. And then He starts to prepare God’s book of remembrance. For the avoidance of doubt, the verse reiterates that fear of God with which it started.
God’s book of remembrance contains only the names of those who fear the Lord. That is a direct quote from the bible. They are also the ones who meditate on His name. Do I fear the Lord? Do I meditate on His name? Then, my name is in the book of remembrance before God. Hallelujah.
Some Immediate Benefits
If you are not sure, please take concrete steps today to get to know God through Jesus Christ. Once you truly know God and His might, you will fear Him. And once you fear Him, He will become the topic of your conversation. Try it and see. Then your name will be in God’s book of remembrance.
When that happens, you know you fear God and there is one earthly benefit we need to consider. We highlight this because it is both a benefit and a test of how much you fear God. Once you fear God, He starts sharing His secrets with you. Do you regularly hear from God? Then you fear Him. Otherwise, you still have work to do as we explained in the previous section.
Additionally, when you fear God, you will lack nothing. Please note that this does not mean you will have several houses unless you want them for missions. But there is nothing you need that God will not provide for you. We can go on, but once you fear God, you know that Your place in Heaven is secure. And that is because your name is in God’s book of remembrance.
