You may wonder what climate change, even heavenly climate change, has to do with your life; keep reading to find out. Keep in mind, we are on this journey to discover how each of us can access the promises of God. And while we sometimes use national examples, what applies to the country applies to the individual.
So, if the blessings of God seem to have dried up in your life, remember God. He will give you showers of blessing. If, on the other hand, floods of evil tidings seem to be plenty in your life, pay attention because there is a situation we refer to as heavenly climate change. In other words, climate change is controlled and decreed by God.
That does not mean God decrees food haphazardly. He decrees His heavenly climate change according to our attitudes toward His laws. You already saw an example of that connection in the great flood. The Bible says the wickedness of men and women was great, and God had to bring a destructive flood on the entire earth.
Thank God that He is a deliberate God, not a fickle Father who does things randomly. By that, we know that He will never again destroy the world with water, regardless of how great the flood in your neck of the woods is. It may take a few, or even several lives, but the destruction of the human race will not happen as a result of flooding. God has reserved that event for fire, as we read in 2 Peter 3:10.![]()

Learn the Laws of God To Avoid Heavenly Climate Change
The great flood in the time of Noah was a sample of God’s law on the heavenly climate change, recorded in Deuteronomy 11.15-17. In the passage, God says, “And I will send grass in your fields for your livestock, that you may eat and be filled.” Did you read a previous post in which God promised to let us eat bread to the full? Well, I am truly grateful that God wants us to have an abundant life, as Jesus promised to those who accept Him.
We continue with the passage, but now Moses is the one speaking, explaining it to the children of God. “Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived. And you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them, lest the Lord’s anger be aroused against you, and He shut up the heavens so that there be no rain, (emphasis added) and the land yield no produce, and you perish quickly from the good land which the Lord is giving you.
Do you believe that the drought that killed all your crops was a result of climate change? How about the flood that happened in your town the other day, which washed away all your harvest just when you were about to gather it in? Yes, but it was the heavenly climate change, not the one that scientists would have you focus on. And that is why those who pay attention to facts, not politics, have observed the cyclical nature of climate change. One decade there is drought, the next, everything is fine with the weather, while the next decade, the world experiences floods.
Moses Knew The Connection
That is because our obedience to God is cyclical, and that did not start in this century or the last. We obey Him, and when we become comfortable, we forget God. Moses, the prophet of God, in explaining God’s law, started with a warning, saying in the above passage: “Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them, lest the Lord’s anger be aroused against you. Ha! We clearly see that the drought in your land, or your life, is a result of turning aside to other gods.
When Moses penned those words, the world had fewer gods than we do now. Every social media influencer wants to be a god, and we have not even started on the politicians at all levels of a nation. Even some husbands, fathers, and mothers want to be gods. The sad part is that many believers, setting aside the grace of God, allow these gods to control them.
And then they wonder why there is dryness in their lives. It is a result of the heavenly climate change. It also works the other way. When we return to the worship of the One True God, the creator of Heaven and of earth. For instance, we hear that the Sahel and parts of the Sahara Desert are turning green. Is that an act of man or of God? Scientists will claim that it is, but now you know that it is because some people there have returned to God. They are about to start the abundance of the heavenly climate change
How About You?
Congratulations on coming this far on a topic that might have seemed irrelevant at first. So, now that we know God controls the climate, what should we do? What is our response to the heavenly climate change? First, forget about the influencer on social media; they are merely using your eyes and shares to increase their influence. As goes the influence, so goes the payment they receive.
Next, get your information from the Bible, the word of God through which faith comes. I promise you it will be hard when you start reading the Bible. But remember that it was not easy for Jesus to die on the cross for us, so keep at it. Gradually, the dryness in your life will start to be less dry, and you will notice. Sadly, you are not the only one to notice. The devil will also notice and do his best to stop you from reading the Bible.
Satan knows the power of the word of God better than believers do, and he will battle you. Don’t fall asleep at your bible reading, and do not let anything distract you. Then watch as Bible study helps you to start obeying God and turning away from those other gods. Next, sit back and see how dryness disappears from your life. When that happens, do not forget to let your loved ones know there is a heavenly climate change.
Maranatha!
