In approximately one month, our Heaven Readiness Facebook Group will be one year old. And we see that it is our time for celebration. But first, we want to appreciate all who helped build up the group. Thank you and please continue inviting your friends to join.
Now, some may wonder why we celebrate since our numbers are in the low triple digits only. Especially when groups are numbering in the millions. But when you consider our subject matter – Jesus – you know why there is cause for celebration.
Remember that the bible itself says Jesus came to His own and His own did not receive Him. In the words of one of my former supervisors, Jesus is not a sexy subject matter. And yet, He is OUR all in all. He died so that you and I will never die again. Jesus came to destroy the works of satan in the lives of all who would trust Him. Amen! As a result, our names are in the book of life, not in the books of death.
Now we know why we should celebrate every day, we come to the celebration itself. Since it is our time for celebration, we are giving away one gift. We had wanted to simply put this on the Heaven Readiness Facebook group page but thought better of it. The people who can qualify for this gift are those who take the time every week to read the post. Those would be those who are addicted to Jesus and His power to save.
Jesus Addicts
Yes, we are talking here of you and I. Like the Apostle Paul, we say: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. For it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.
If you are a Jesus addict like myself, you will read until you get to the gift. Others will stop reading now and that is okay. Jesus died for the entire world but only those who believe are saved. Not all will receive salvation, just as not all will read to the end and receive the gift. In any case, the gift requires that the receiver be a Jesus addict.
Otherwise, although it is our time for celebration, the gift will be wasted. And we most certainly don’t wish to let our celebration gift go to waste. For the avoidance of doubt, let us talk a little about what a Jesus addict is. As you consider, you begin to see the requirements of the one who will eventually qualify for the gift.
Paul was a Jesus addict. He had only one topic of discussion – Jesus Christ. Just like a drug addict has only one desire, morning afternoon, and night, Paul’s one desire was for Jesus. John the Baptist was also such an addict. There was only one subject in his dictionary. The Lamb of God formed the basis of his existence.
I like to think of myself as a Jesus addict. If you ever call me and it goes to voicemail, you will hear of Jesus. On this blog subscription alone, I know of a few such Jesus addicts. They used to call us Jesus-fanatics. But since it is our time for celebration, we are upgrading ourselves to Jesus addicts. Why not?
It Is Our Time For Celebration And Peter is Here
Are you still with me here or have you fallen by the wayside? The process is a great weeding strategy. You know that at the first, seventy people wanted to follow Jesus but they gradually fell away.
At the end, there were only twelve left. Even then, Jesus asked them “Do you also want to go away?” Thank God for Peter, the disciples’ self-appointed spokesperson. He answered “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also, we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Are you a Peter, the one who will speak on behalf of the rest of us? Do you appreciate that only Jesus has the words of eternal life? When trials and questions arise, will you say there is nowhere else to go? Or will you be like the fifty-eight others who abandoned Jesus? My prayer is that you are a Jesus addict. As I wrote that, a thought crossed my mind.
Most drug addicts have specialties; those who are on meth don’t go to coke, for instance. By the same token, once you are addicted to Jesus, there is no space for other addictions. Being addicted to Jesus protects you from other addictions. Therefore, it should not surprise you that Peter went all the way with Jesus. So, as it is our time for celebration, I ask you, are you a Jesus addict? Amen.
Praise God you are a Jesus addict. You are now ready to hear about the gift. To celebrate, we are giving away one virtual pulpit to any who qualifies.
The Gift
We want to give you this opportunity to let your Jesus themes be known by a wider audience than now. Heaven Readiness website (not the Facebook group) is giving you a chance to write a weekly blog post.
First, you must not have a physical pulpit. This is not a bias against pastors but since they already have a forum for reaching people for Christ, they should let others have this one. Hence, all pastors are excluded.
Secondly, you should have a good command of the English language. Most of our readers are English language readers. We need to communicate Jesus in a way they would understand. Besides, our pulpit has a sergeant-major type software that will pull you up each time you write a wrong sentence.
Thirdly, you must know that a blog needs to be at least nine hundred words long. We shall provide training in blogging dos and don’ts so that the sergeant major (it is a software program) does not reject your blog post.
Finally, you must commit to writing at least two posts a month. Like the prophet Jeremiah, the word of God may be like a fire in your belly. And you may want to write more often. Once you indicate your desire to claim this gift, we can discuss and clear up any questions you have.
If you feel this gift has your name on it, wonderful. Truly, it is our time for celebration. Please write a message to me and we shall take it from there. This is your chance to let us hear the Jesus words that God has placed on your inside.
Go for it, as it is our time to celebrate.
Maranatha!
Indeed it is our time to celebrate. Powerful word. I’m in, I am claiming this gift in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Thanks so much for sharing this message and God bless you and your team.
Thanks so much for your diligence in writing from the heart of your spirit weekly… it is always well received…
Thank you. Your comments make it all worthwhile
Amen. Congratulations! You are quite qualified to claim this gift.
In due course, we shall add your name to allow you to write. Meanwhile, start writing in word. It is always a good idea to have a few articles written before you start posting online. For a great post, the length should be at least 900 words, the title should appear in the body at least five times. There should be subheadings and each subheading cannot be longer than more than 300 words. But more to come on a private connection.
